High Quality Skill Position Players

FSU needs playmakers in the worst way, just like in the last recruiting cycle. However, the coaching staff resorted to the transfer portal for four wide receivers and a running back.

I’d wager three or four of those transfer players will play large roles for the Noles in the 2022 season.

The 2023 recruiting class has three-star wide receivers Vandrevius Jacobs and Darren Lawrence committed, who I like a lot. One guy has speed and can make a variety of catches, and the other is more of a big-body possession receiver.

The Noles must hit on a big-time wide receiver like five-star Hykeem Williams. They don’t have any running back commits yet, and one of their top targets came off of board Thursday with Daylan Smothers committing to Oklahoma.

That leaves four-star running back Samuel Singleton as the top target remaining at the position. If the coaching staff can secure Williams and Singleton?

I’d be satisfied because they only need one running back and already have two wide receiver commits. However, if they could pull another wide receiver like Adam Hopkins, that would be great too.
