FSU has one linebacker committed, but he’s a three-star project, and the Noles have one safety committed in Quindarrius Jones. Jones ranks as three-star too, but the staff saw him perform in person, and he looked good against some quality players.

FSU is targeting west-coast linebacker, Blake Nichelson. Nichelson officially visited last month and may come back unofficially on July 30th. If that happens, I give them a shot, otherwise, he’s going to Oregon.

Then there’s blue-chip defensive tackle Jordan Hall. FSU recently made his top 10 list, and he has a great relationship with Odell Haggins. If the Noles signed Hall along with their current commits, it would be their best defensive line class in years.

There’s blue-chip defensive end Wilky Denaud and three-star defensive tackle Tavion Gadson. If FSU misses on Nichelson, I’m not sure where else they go at linebacker. If they miss on Hall, that could be where Gadson comes into play.

I’m not sure if Denaud’s at the top of their recruiting board after landing Keldric Faulk, but he’s a guy they had at camp working pretty hard.

In the defensive back area, FSU has local talent blue-chip safety Makari Vickers, but I think the chance of landing him is pretty low.

There’s three-star Kenton Kirkland(who 247 rates as a four-star), and there’s recent three-star Maryland wide receiver de-commit Nasir Addison, who FSU is looking at as a cornerback. Three-star Jabril Rawls plans to be back on campus later this month.
