FSU football fans have been keeping close tabs on FSU recruiting compared to other schools.

Luckily, the rivals haven’t been hot on the trails, but others like Clemson and Louisville have been hot like fish grease.

The latter I don’t put much stock into since nearly all of their commits are from California and Texas. Clemson isn’t recruiting at the elite level they were a couple of years ago, but they have some solid pieces, and the No. 4 composite class with 14 commits.

However, the addition of blue-chip offensive lineman Roderick Kearney was a huge addition for the Noles, and could be foreshawdowing of more to come.

FSU has several blue-chip targets that could or will be announcing their decisions within the next month. Here’s a few to keep an eye on:

  • Keldric Faulk (No. 84 player overall, No. 9 DL), July 5th commitment date
  • Avery Stuart- (No. 197 player overall, No. 12 safety), July 6th commitment date
  • Brock Glenn- (No. 356 player overall, No. 18 QB), Summer commitment
  • Lucas Simmons- (No. 107 player overall, No. 13 offensive tackle), Summer commitment
  • Daylan Smothers- (No. 219 player overall, No. 9 running back), July commitment date
  • Samuel Singleton- (No. 221 player, No. 11 running back)

Faulk and Stuart were on official visits to FSU this weekend, their last official visits before announcing their decisions in early July. From all accounts, their visits went well, and they have been on campus at least one other time this spring before their officials.

Brock Glenn is someone the staff has turned up the heat on in recent weeks, and he plans to announce his decision sometime after competing at the Elite 11 Finals this week. Lucas Simmons officially visited FSU this weekend, and the Noles have been high on his list throughout the process. The same goes for Singleton and Smothers. The latter two do not have specific commitment dates, but both spoke glowingly about their visit to Noles247.

The Noles currently have four blue-chip commits out of eight total. If FSU football got commitments from only half of these players it would be massive, as they are all blue-chip players. If they got five out of six, it would be a home run, no matter which ones they were.
