FSU football has completed spring and has entered into arguably the most important part of the year. Spring camp concluded with the annual garnet and gold spring game that saw a turnout of around 30,000 fans.

The players looked more confident, and the teams executed on both sides of the ball for the most part. The mass exodus of players to the transfer portal is underway, with former JUCO TE Koby Gross entering with others like Jordan Young, Hunter Washington, and Jarvis Brownlee.

Ironically, the 2023 recruiting class ranks No. 14, the same ranking as this time last year. More importantly, they have a key commitment in blue-chip QB Chris Parson. They also have two key defensive commits from blue-chip DT Keith Sampson and legacy blue-chip DE Lamont Green Jr.

The coaches are on the road visiting recruits now and will be keeping an eye on which players enter the transfer portal before the May 1st deadline.

Most players have stepped up their games but will need to continue to improve in the summer months as FSU coaches will have limited access.

Accountability among players and the strength and conditioning coaches will be paramount. Let’s look at five players that benefited most from spring camp.
