Tate Rodemaker Continuing to Progress

Tate Rodemaker has had a great spring camp so far, and it looks like he took another step with his performance in Saturday’s scrimmage.

I talked about how the emergence of Rodemaker could influence the coach’s decision on whether to take a quarterback from the transfer portal or not.

Norvell said:

"Tate, the thing he and AJ are showing is that they are competing to be ready when their number is called, whatever that may look like."

That answers how the coaches feel about Rodemaker as the backup. It’s a risk, considering he’s still yet to prove it in a real game situation, not to mention the injury history of Jordan Travis.

It looks like the coaching staff is pushing all of their chips in the middle of the table on this group and is willing to roll the dice. The closest we’ll get to a real game is during the spring game next week. As fans, we’ll get to see it for ourselves.
