Playmakers On Both Sides of The Ball?

Mike Norvell likes to say the offense is built for playmakers. However, coaches what playmakers on both sides of the ball.

The issue for FSU football last year was they didn’t have any playmakers on offense aside from Jordan Travis and Jashaun Corbin. Treshaun Ward was solid but not capable of big explosive plays too often.

The wide receivers couldn’t beat man-to-man coverage, which limited the passing game. However, the transfers have elevated the wide receiver room and should be good enough to force teams to respect the passing game.

That should help open up things in the running game. Then it’s up to the individual players to win their one-on-one battles. They should be able to do that more consistently in 2022.

Defensively, the defensive line should be in the top half of the conference. DeLoach and Bethune should be in the upper half of the conference for linebacker play.

I believe the FSU secondary should be better than a year ago, even with Jarvis Brownlee entering the transfer portal because he was a liability in coverage.
