FSU football had its second scrimmage of the 2022 spring camp on Saturday. Saturday’s scrimmage had a more game flow, and FSU head coach Mike Norvell seemed pleased with what he saw as he spoke to the media Saturday afternoon.

FSU football had one of their more intense practices Thursday after a poor effort on Tuesday.

However, it looks like the players brought great energy for the second consecutive outing with the defense winning the day for the most part.

Mike Norvell’s thoughts can be heard below:

I expected the team to have a good scrimmage, especially after Mike Norvell challenged them after Tuesday’s practice and the players know playing well in the scrimmages counts for quite a bit.

All the signs keep pointing to this team and program making significant progress compared to last year. Jordan Travis has a better understanding of the offense and has been available to get practice reps.

The players from the transfer portal have taken advantage of all of the spring practice reps, and nearly all of them should be contributors in the fall.

I spoke about what I was looking for from Saturday’s scrimmage on the latest podcast. Here are my thoughts after deciphering the information I’ve gathered.
