FSU football: 3 questions entering ‘Noles second scrimmage
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football will host their second scrimmage of the 2022 spring camp. Their first scrimmage was more situational and took place last Saturday, in what Mike Norvell called the best one they’ve had since he’s been at FSU.
The scrimmage Saturday will have more game flow to it as guys try to solidify their spot on the depth chart as spring camp has surpassed the halfway mark.
Tuesday’s practice wasn’t up to Mike Norvell’s standard, but the guys responded well and had one of their most intense practices on Thursday. Can they replicate that effort again on Saturday? I think so with so much on the line.
There are certain positions where I’m sure the starter has the spot locked, but there are still several positions up for grabs.
We know Jordan Travis is the starter at QB. The running back unit is likely Treshaun Ward and Trey Benson. The coaching staff is still experimenting along the offensive line. The starting linebackers are likely Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune.
Jammie Robinson has one of the safety spots locked, and Omarion Cooper is likely the starter at boundary cornerback. Here are my three questions going into the second scrimmage.
