FSU football coaches have been working hard on the recruiting trail and have a good start to their 2023 recruiting class.

They signed one of the best quarterbacks in the nation in 2022 and already have a blue-chip quarterback committed for the 2023 recruiting class.

Despite that success after four consecutive losing seasons, some fans still question how Mike Norvell is handling quarterback recruiting.

The criticism stems from some comments made by five-star quarterback Dante Moore:

“[They’re] not texting me everyday or texting me always through the week but you know they got Chris Parson — he’s committed here — so there’s no love lost with them.” Moore gave that statement to 247’s Zach Blostein after visiting FSU football with a group of other players.

Some FSU football fans take that as FSU isn’t recruiting Moore or doesn’t want him since they already have Chris Parson committed.

Of course, there was some friction with Parson a few weeks back regarding FSU QB recruiting. Those things are of the past, and Parson has been recruiting for the 2023 class. Below he’s working on five-star wide receiver Jalen Brown:

Dante Moore has a much higher composite ranking than Parson, so fans automatically think he should be the guy FSU pursues, but it’s way more than that. Here’s the way you have to look at the situation.
