FSU football: Top five offensive performances from 2021 season
By Kelvin Hunt
Final Thoughts
Two FSU football players had the top five offensive performances in the 2021 season. That tells you two things.
Jordan Travis can be very good and there were not a lot of other players besides himself and Jashaun Corbin. Running back Treshaun Ward had a few moments here and there. A couple of other players had moments here and there, but Travis and Corbin were the two most consistent offensive options all year.
Travis returns in 2022 and Corbin opted to head to the NFL where he’ll likely get drafted. The good news is all of the other running backs return, and it looks like Oregon transfer Trey Benson will be a solid replacement for Corbin.
FSU needs at least two wide receivers to enter the mix as playmakers. If that happens? I like this FSU offense to enter into a completely different realm than what we’ve seen the past four years.
I’d expect this offense to be the best FSU offensive since the 2016 team. I believe the pieces are there, they need good injury luck at QB, OL, and the wide receiver position.
