Honorable Mentions

Of course, other players will likely have leadership roles on the team. There are players like Robert Cooper, Leonard Warner, Keyshawn Helton, Camren McDonald, and Amari Gainer who’ve been at FSU through the last coaching change and have a lot of experience to offer.

All of them have various levels of production and enough to have a role in helping glue the locker room. Warner and Helton have dealt with injuries and could serve as mentors to others dealing with those types of issues.

I could see someone like Mycah Pittman becoming a leader, especially if he begins to have production on the field and/or at practice. It sounds like the coaching staff has been pushing him hard to take that next step to find that consistency.

Ja’Khi Douglas is another player that could emerge as a leader as he had some big plays last year and works hard in practice. We’ll see what happens and who else emerges, but this program is trending towards more player accountablity, and that’s what it needs.
