The Noles have completed its first week of spring practice, and one of the biggest questions going into the season will be which players emerge as leaders.

Leadership has been a question for the program the last few years, with mostly transfer portal players assuming those roles last season. Players like Jermaine Johnson, Keir Thomas, Jashaun Corbin, and a few others took on that responsibility.

Leadership comes in different forms. Some players lead by example, others vocally, and some can do both. However, one thing the player must have is the respect of his teammates. How does that occur?

That player must put in the work and have the production to back up his actions and words. It’s the nature of how things work. A walk-on player can lead by example and work hard like he’s supposed to.

However, if he’s not getting playing time, what he does and says only carries so much weight. FSU lost a lot of those leaders with that cache from last year’s team.

The question is, who are the players capable of replacing some of that leadership? Truthfully, some are already leaders, but they can take it up a notch.

Here are five candidates with the production and mentality to make it happen.
