FSU football: Noles trending with several 2023 blue-chip players
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football coaches decided to host dozens of 2023 and beyond recruiting targets to coincide with the beginning of spring practice over the weekend.
Much like other unique efforts and recruiting gambles the staff has tried in the past, it worked. We saw the Midnight Madness event and the gamble to bring all of their top targets to the Notre Dame and Miami games last year.
This year, Mike Norvell wanted to kick off spring practice with most of their top targets on campus to observe how they do things.
From the looks of it and exit interviews, FSU is trending with several key targets and got one commitment from blue-chip defensive lineman Keith Sampson.
Of course, recruits will tell you they enjoyed the visit and what you want to hear, but the thing that stands out is most of these players have already been on campus multiple times in the past.
Some of them brought their family with them, which is always a good sign there’s genuine interest. Much like last year, FSU is going to have to show they are taking that next step on the field to land elite recruits.
However, they seem to be in a good spot for several targets at positions of need.
