By Kelvin Hunt
FSU basketball will take on Clemson Tuesday, looking to end a six-game losing streak. We discuss the betting odds, how to watch, and a prediction.
FSU basketball (13-11, 6-8 ACC) comes into the game losers of six consecutive games and several injured players.
Clemson (12-13, 4-10 ACC) have lost four consecutive games since their 75-69 win over FSU nearly two weeks ago.
FSU basketball vs. Clemson Odds and Prediction
WynnBET’s updated odds have the Noles as -2.5 betting favorites. The over/under point total is 137.5, which implies a 70-67 type of game. Clemson checks in at No. 80 in the latest KenPom rankings, and the Noles checked in at No. 100. Clemson has the No. 61 ranked offense and the No. 126 defense. The Tigers average 72 ppg and have four starters averaging double figures while shooting 45 percent from the floor. They average 37.5 percent from three-point land and 72.8 percent from the charity stripe. They average 11.2 turnovers per game.
I can’t believe FSU is the betting favorite in this game even though they are playing at home. The Tucker Center hasn’t been the home court advantage like normal in recent games as fans have seemingly lost interest in a team rocked by injuries and losing six consecutive games. Clemson shoots it decent from three-point land which as been an issue for the Noles and they’ll be without leading scorer Caleb Mills. Clemson also crashes the offensive boards well and that was one key to their victory in the previous matchup. I don’t see where the offense is going to come from for the Noles. I suppose RayQuan Evans, John Butler, Matthew Cleveland and Cam’Ron Fletcher could make something happen. I can’t pick the Noles to win another game until they show me something different than what we’ve seen the past few games.
Prediction: Clemson 74, FSU 68
