FSU basketball will take on NC State in their second ACC Conference game. Here is a look at the odds, how to watch, and a prediction.
FSU basketball (6-4, 0-1 ACC) hasn’t played since a blowout win over Lipscomb in mid-December. Since then, they’ve had their last three games canceled or postponed due to COVID-19 issues.
NC State (7-6, 0-2 ACC) has been more active, playing three games since the Noles last took to the hardwood. They lost against Miami 91-83 Wednesday.
FSU basketball vs. NC State Odds and Prediction
WynnBET’s updated odds have the Noles as a +3 point betting underdog on the road. The over/under point total is 142.5, implying a 73-70 type of game. NC State checks in at No. 119 in the latest KenPom rankings, and the Noles checked in at No. 39. NC State has the No. 71 ranked offense and the No. 180 defense. The Wolfpack average 77 ppg, and have four players averaging in double figures, while shooting 41.5 percent from the floor. They average 30.2 percent from three-point land and 71 percent from the charity stripe. They average 9.7 turnovers per game.
South Carolina only allows teams to shoot 44 percent from the floor on average, which ranks No. 270 nationally. FSU’s issues have been on the offensive end, and hopefully, they ironed out some of their issues, although I’m not sure how much they have been able to practice. FSU simply needs to take good shots on the offensive end and rebound the ball. If they do that, I think they’ll cover and win outright. However, it’s hard to gauge what to expect after being out of action for such a long period of time.
Prediction: FSU 77, South Carolina 72
