FSU football: 5 takeaways from Mike Norvell’s second year in Tallahassee

Program Headed In Right Direction
Aside from the Jacksonville State debacle, I think Mike Norvell is right on track and possibly ahead of schedule if he can receive some good injury luck with Jordan Travis and the offensive line.
The Noles had a chance to win nearly every game with Jordan Travis at quarterback.
He still has a long way to go but made some strides as a passer. I think he has some self-confidence that became apparent later in the season, and I believe his teammates believe in him more now than they did at this time last year.
FSU football has to hope the transfer portal players they bring in are hits once again, while also hoping some young players at some key positions take the next step. Oh, and injury luck, they still need lots of injury luck.
However, I think the roster is in better shape overall now compared to this time last year. It’s about building on the progress they made in 2021 while continuing to change the culture around the program.
I’m excited to see what Mike Norvell and this staff can do in 2022.
