FSU Portal Action

FSU football coaches have already been busy in the portal addressing roster needs. They have commitments from Bless Harris, Kayden Lyles, Mycah Pittman, and Johnny Wilson.

Those players represent the offensive line and wide receivers, and the coaches will likely take one more transfer at each position.

They have been pursuing defensive end Jared Verse and will likely take at least one and probably two linebackers in the portal if they find players that meet their needs. I think they should take another quarterback and defensive end, and possibly a defensive tackle if Fabien Lovett enters the NFL Draft.

The Noles have 15 players signed and the four transfers committed for a total of 19. Antavious Woody remains committed but unsigned, and I don’t expect the latter to happen. However, if it does, that would be 20 players for the 2022 recruiting cycle.

That would mean FSU could take 12 more players( 32 total), as long as they don’t surpass the 85 scholarship limit.

If we count the positions I listed above (OL, WR, 2 LB, 2 DE, QB) that I believe they will pursue, that gives FSU 27 players this cycle.
