Kalen DeLoach

FSU football linebacker Kalen DeLoach could make a case for the most improved player on the team. DeLoach has become a force at linebacker with the ability to make splash plays.

One of them may not have been bigger than the safety against Boston College Saturday afternoon. DeLoach identified the screen pass early and charged downhill with an explosive tackle which led to two points and great field position for the ‘Noles offense on the ensuing possession.

DeLoach finished the game with seven tackles and two tackles for a loss. He also had one pass defended. He also does a lot that goes unnoticed, like making sure the calls get in and guys are lined up correctly. The Boston College game moves him to third on the team for number of tackles on the season.
