FSU basketball game today: FSU vs. Loyola Marymount Line, Predictions, Odds, TV Channel & Live Stream Info
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU basketball will host Loyola Marymount Sunday evening. Here is a look at the odds, how to watch, and a prediction.
FSU basketball got their second win of the young 2021 season Wednesday night against a scrappy Tulane team. Tulane used good zone defense to slow down an FSU offense that’s still trying to figure things out with so many new faces. Malik Osborne continues to be steady, but the Noles need a couple of more guys to be more consistent on that end of the floor.
Defensively, we saw the Noles have a solid performance, holding the Green Wave to 29 percent shooting and 34 percent from three-point land. It was the shot selection and poor free-throw shooting, coupled 15 turnovers, that was responsible for the close game even though they were -18 point betting favorites.
FSU basketball vs. Loyola Marymount Odds and Prediction
WynnBET’s updated odds have the Noles as -8 point betting favorites at home. The over/under point total is 140, which implies a 74-66 type of game. Loyola Marymount (2-1) checks in at No. 80 in the latest KenPom rankings, and the Noles checked in at No. 32. The Lions is a better offensive team than the defensive and a couple of names to watch out for is Joe Quintana and Eli Scott . Quintana averages 20 ppg and Scott is a force down low on the boards and averages 13.7 ppg.
This game is one FSU should win but they need to start showing some consistency on the offensive end of the floor. I also need to see improvement in the rebounding game and at the free-throw line.
Prediction: FSU 72, Tulane 64
