FSU football: 5 players deserve Tomahawk Stickers for Clemson game
By Kelvin Hunt
Keir Thomas
You’ll begin to notice a theme with most of the players earning Tomahawk Stickers. The majority of them are transfers recruited by the coaching staff, and Keir Thomas is the next guy on the list.
Thomas had one of his best games as he set the edge against the run and caused havoc in the Clemson backfield.
Thomas finished the game with six tackles (four solos), 1.5 sacks, and 2.5 tackles for a loss.
Remember how FSU’s defense got exposed in the Notre Dame game on the 3rd and 17 play? FSU blew up the screen attempts by Clemson, and Thomas played a big part in diagnosing those plays.
He was in on the third-down sack that gave the FSU offense the ball back with five minutes remaining, which could have won the game if they could have had a successful drive.
If only the offense could have shown a pulse in the second half. Sighs.
