Mike Norvell

I know Mike Norvell and Kenny Dillingham supposedly have a great relationship and almost never disagree with what the other is thinking according to some interviews by Dillingham last season.

However, there’s no way Mike Norvell would call some of the stuff I’ve seen in the past couple of weeks. However, it still falls on him because he hears the calls in the headset. It’s time for Mike Norvell to take over playcalling duties.

I realize it’s a tough decision to take duties away from a guy he likes and respects, but he’s coaching for his job after the 2022 season and it becomes self-preservation at some point. Mike Norvell has been described as an offensive genius and should have an idea of what he wants the offense to look like.

I’ve watched a lot of Memphis games when he was the head coach and it never looked this disjointed. Maybe it has to do with the QB situation or injuries on the offensive line? However, that’s where choosing one QB and going with them would make it easier to establish their identity.

If we don’t begin to see a change this week, it’s only going to get worse for this coaching staff.
