Final Thoughts

I I understand the coaches have no control over the turnovers, but one thing they can do is play to the strengths of their players more and play their best players more often. I know Corbin had the fumble against Wake Forest, but he and Treshaun Ward need more carries each game.

If players are not willing to play disciplined, either hold them accountable or sit them and, for God’s sake, put an end to the celebrating look at me syndrome. Mike Norvell has struggled to create an identity with this football team, and that’s because of all the rotating players and trying to be cute with the two-quarterbacks systems.

It might be time to start giving Chubba Purdy some time because McKenzie Milton isn’t going to be in Tallahassee next year, and Jordan Travis isn’t a quarterback despite what some believe. It’s not like they are winning with either of them anyways. I need to see the young guys in the secondary getting some playing time.

Shyheim Brown, Kevin Knowles, and Hunter Washington are a few that come to mind, along with Sydney Williams, who plays hard. If the defense could clean up a few things on third down, they’d be a decent unit. However, they can’t get off the field because of penalties or players looking like an All-American against them.

I don’t envy Mike Norvell because he gets paid millions, but the guy is between a rock and a hard place. He better figure it out quickly.
