FSU football will have their first road game of the year when they travel to Winston-Salem to take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

It was the most important game on the schedule before the season started, and it’s even more important now since the Noles lost to Jacksonville State. A win would help restore some faith in a coaching staff that had done nearly everything right in the offseason.

An overtime loss against Notre Dame helped push that faith to a higher level, but it has all dissipated since last week. However, I find it interesting the betting line for the game is FSU football +4.5, according to Wynnbet.

That’s near where the betting line opened, but it grew to +6.5 with bettors hopping on Wake Forest after the Jacksonville State game. Why is the betting line back down to +4.5? I can tell you why.

I would not be shocked to see FSU win the game on Saturday, although there are not many reasons anyone would take that stance. Wake Forest doesn’t beat themselves with penalties and turnovers, and that has been an Achilles heel for the Noles of late.

However, this FSU team responded well when no one gave them a chance in the season opener against Notre Dame. They find themselves in a similar spot in Saturday’s game.
