FSU football readies for its most important game of the year when they travel to Winston-Salem for Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. contest. It’s a game the Noles must win to gain some respect back after their first-ever loss to an FCS opponent last week.

Surprisingly, the Noles are only a +5 point underdog on the road after such a demoralizing loss. However, I wrote about three things that favor the Noles going into Saturday’s matchup on Wednesday. Now, it’s only right for me to give you three things that likely favor the Demon Deacons going into the contest.

I spoke about some of the factors going into the game on the Built For Playmakers Podcast, which I released this morning(subscribe and download). I believe this team is closer to what we saw from Notre Dame than what we saw against Jacksonville State.

A lot of the issues are things the Noles can control. It wasn’t anything Jacksonville State did, but it was more what the Noles didn’t do. The same will be true Saturday because FSU has more talent overall, but the question is, can they avoid the self-inflicted wounds?

The turnovers and penalties have been large contributors to their 0-2 start, but they’ll have to deal with what Wake Forest brings to the table as well.
