FSU football: Noles have the playmakers to exceed expectations in 2021?
By Kelvin Hunt
Final Thoughts
All of this begins and ends with the level of intensity and passion the Noles bring to each game. Will they have the same level of intensity and passion for Jacksonville State and Wake Forest as they did against Notre Dame?
If so, that says a lot about what Mike Norvell and the coaching staff have done to change the culture in Tallahassee. It’s something I’m going to pay close attention to in the next couple of weeks.
I almost feel like playing with that level of intensity and passion is half of the battle. I trust this coaching staff to have sound game plans on both sides of the ball. The offense will look to create 1-on-1 matchups, and it’s up to those players to execute in those situations.
Opposing offenses will attempt to do the same thing against FSU’s defense. Can those players win the majority of those 1-on-1 matchups? Will the defensive backs continue to lose in those situations that we saw against Notre Dame?
I think the talent is there on defense to win the majority of the time. The offense is more complicated based on who the quarterback is and the offensive line holding up. If the offense can show promise in the passing game in the next couple of games?
If the defense plays with the same intensity as Notre Dame? This team might exceed expectations if they can remain healthy.
