FSU football: 8 players deserve Tomahawk Stickers for Notre Dame game
By Kelvin Hunt
Jermaine Johnson
When Jermaine Johnson announced he would exit the transfer portal to play his final year in Tallahassee, it caught some FSU football fans off guard.
He was a talented player from a program like Georgia, and it was too good to be true, right? However, the reports from camp made it seem like Jermaine Johnson would be a player for the Noles.
His performance Sunday confirmed all of those reports and likely surpassed all expectations.
Johnson was unstoppable early, harassing Notre Dame’s Jack Coan and finishing with seven tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 2.5 tackles for a loss.
Those stats nearly surpass Joshua Kaindoh’s stats from last year, and he played in eight games!
If Jermaine Johnson continues to show up like this every game, the Noles will have their first legitimate pass rusher since Brian Burns on the roster.
