DON’T Turn The Ball Over

Turnovers are an area that’s plagued the Noles the last few years. The Noles had 17 turnovers last season and didn’t go one game without turning the ball over.

They only had two games where they won the turnover margin, and ironically, the Notre Dame game was one of them (+1).

However, the FSU offense only managed 10 points off those two turnovers and managed to turn the ball over on a key possession in the red zone midway through the fourth quarter.

The FSU offense can’t afford to give away possessions, much less those where they get into the red zone against Notre Dame.

If they can’t avoid turnovers, they at least have to draw even or win the turnover battle. If not, the odds of them winning the game is virtually zero.

They drew even in the turnover battle with Notre Dame in the 2018 game, but the only problem was the two FSU turnovers came on two of their first three possessions.

Those two turnovers resulted in 10 points, and Notre Dame led 17-0 after the first quarter.

It was ballgame after that.
