FSU football will host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Sunday, with the game airing on ABC in primetime.

The Noles have gotten blasted by Notre Dame in their last two games, with both games taking place on the Fighting Irish’s home turf.

Sunday night will be the first time Notre Dame returns to Tallahassee since the memorable 2014 game between two top-five teams.

The Noles prevailed in one of the most memorable games between the two teams. FSU enters the game Sunday night as betting underdogs, but the line is lower than most people expected.

Some of that is, it’s a road game in an opener, and both teams have many unknowns going into the matchup.

Can FSU football pull off the upset? They can, but they need a lot of things to go right, and that hasn’t been in the cards for a team that’s 21-26 over the past four seasons.

Nevertheless, they have several new faces with experience on both sides of the ball and a full offseason with the coaching staff. I’m not picking the Noles to win Sunday night, but if they do these three things, they’ll be key in FSU pulling off the upset in primetime.
