FSU football: 5 bold predictions for Notre Dame game
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU Offense Will Average 6 YPP
I know most folks believe FSU football has no realistic shot of winning this game, and they are probably right. However, if that’s the case, it won’t fall on the offense.
It’s the defense that I have the most questions about. The Noles went on the road in Jordan Travis’s first start at quarterback last season against Notre Dame and averaged 5.7 yards per play.
Some of that production may have come in garbage time, but it was a one-score game with a minute left in the third quarter.
Not to mention, Mike Norvell has had excellent success against Notre Dame defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman.
Norvell has averaged nearly 200 rushing yards per game in their two matchups and averaged six yards per play between those two games.
The Noles have had an entire offseason to watch film and study tendencies, and I think they’ll find success Sunday night on the ground and through the air.
