FSU football: Top 10 bold predictions for 2021 season
By Kelvin Hunt
Jashaun Corbin will surpass 1,200 all-purpose yards
This prediction was tough to make because of how last season went for the Noles. They only played nine games and Corbin wasn’t 100 percent healthy from the injury that ended his time at Texas A&M.
That doesn’t seem to be the case as we head into 2021. Corbin looks like himself before the injury and he has time under his belt in Mike Norvell’s system.
I’m projecting Corbin to get around 185 carries on the season, which would equate to around 850 rushing yards if averages 4.6 yards per carry. Corbin averaged 4.95 yards per rush in 2020.
If Corbin gets around 850 rushing yards, he’d only need 350 receiving yards to surpass the 1,200 yards all-purpose mark.
Of course, Corbin could average well over 4.6 yards per carry, which means he’d need fewer receiving yards to reach the goal. The offense should have a better passing attack, and the offensive line looks to be better in 2021.
All of those are positive signs he could pull this off.
