October 9th @ North Carolina

This game is one North Carolina circled since FSU upset them last year when they were No. 5 in the nation.

FSU football should come into the game with confidence, knowing they beat the Tar Heels last year and will be riding a four-game winning streak.

I wrote North Carolina was one of the more overrated teams going into 2020, and they lose a bit from last year’s team.

However, Mack Brown has done a good job recruiting the past couple of years, and they have a good coaching staff. I’m not ready to make this an automatic loss like some people. I know the narrative is FSU barely hung on to beat North Carolina last year.

However, FSU was three yards away from scoring a touchdown on their first possession in the second half. If they score a touchdown there, I believe North Carolina folds like a wet t-shirt. Not only did FSU not score a touchdown, but they also missed the chip-shot field goal.

That was all it took for North Carolina to seize the momentum and put FSU into survival mode. I think North Carolina probably wins this game more than not, but I wouldn’t be suprised to see FSU give them all they can handle.

Scoring Prediction: North Carolina 37, FSU 30

Projected 2021 Record: 4-2
