September 25th vs. Louisville

Louisville rolled FSU when they faced each other last season. The FSU defense couldn’t get stops, and Jordan Travis left the game with an injury.

This game is another coin flip on the schedule. I think FSU’s loss against Louisville last year was more about the team not understanding how to handle the success of upsetting North Carolina the week before.

Talent-wise, Louisville isn’t more talented than the Noles, and the Cardinals have lost to Willie Taggart-led FSU teams in back-to-back years.

Louisville coach Scott Satterfield is in a precarious situation after flirting with the South Carolina job in the offseason. Louisville lost some of its playmakers on offense, and I like the FSU defense to be better than last season.

I can’t get Louisville losing to two Willie Taggart teams out of my head and believe last year was a fluke.

Scoring Prediction: FSU 31, Louisville 27

Projected 2021 Record: 3-1
