FSU football will open their 2021 season against Notre Dame, and several high-profile recruits will be there.

There will be at least 15 recruiting targets and/or FSU commits in a game the Noles are 10-point underdogs.

Top 100 targets like Kevin Coleman, Jaleel Skinner, and Nyjalik Kelly will be there. Other blue-chip targets like Jaron Willis, Daniel Martin, Jovantae Barnes, Kendrick Law, and three-star offensive tackle Eston Harris Jr. will be in attendance.

Not to mention all of the FSU commits and likely players from future recruiting classes who’ll make the trip to Tallahassee.

Some fans don’t like the possibility of FSU coaches having so many players at a game where it could get ugly if the Noles don’t have a good showing.

I get it, FSU hasn’t had a good opening game in half a decade, and Notre Dame made the college football playoffs last year.

Is it a gamble? Absolutely. Is it a gamble the coaches should take with what’s on the line?

Absolutely. It’s a calculated risk to take advantage of all the hard work the coaches have put in on the recruiting trail over the past year.

This recruiting 2022 recruiting class is critical to the trajectory of the program, and FSU has a legitimate shot to sign seven players ranked in the top 100.

They already have 12 players committed who rank from No. 199 to No. 458. That’s a solid mixture of players to build on for the future.

Here’s why I think the Notre Dame game is the perfect gamble to host the most official visitors.
