Tre Donaldson (Safety)

Here’s a name that has crept under the radar for some time. However, the dual-sport athlete and local Tallahassee product received a basketball offer from FSU a couple of days ago.

That offer could be a game-changer as Donaldson looks to play football and basketball in college.

What could be better than staying home and joining an FSU basketball squad that’s a perennial contender and a football program that looks to get back to prominence?

Donaldson ranks as the No. 268 player overall and No. 20 safety in the nation with offers from 15 schools. The Noles need at least one more defensive back in the 2022 recruiting class.

Donaldson unofficially visited the Noles on June 1 and unofficially visited Florida. He has taken official visits to Louisville and Auburn.

Florida and Auburn have 247 Crystal Ball Predictions, but the one for Auburn is much more recent.

The Noles let a talented safety from Tallahassee getaway to Auburn last season. That’s a trend they need to bring to an end. If they can get him back on campus, that will be a great sign for the Noles.
