Ontaria Wilson

Ontaria Wilson is a name who I’m right about almost every time, but injuries always seem to derail what could have been.

Wilson battled injuries the past two seasons after redshirting in 2018. The former three-star recruit and former high school teammate of Tamorrion Terry have shown promise when healthy.

Some may question why I list him as a dark horse. However, I would wager most fans didn’t realize he led the team in receptions, receiving yards, and tied for the lead in touchdown receptions.

The wide receiver unit is arguably the biggest question mark for this FSU team. Wilson is the most experienced returner but often most forgotten.

I know folks are excited about Kansas transfer Andrew Parchment, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Wilson continue to be a solid option in 2021 if he can stay healthy.

He appeared in all nine games with 31 receptions for 391 yards and two touchdowns. That production came amidst the injuries and with FSU starting four different quarterbacks in 2020, including two true freshmen.

I expect the quarterback play to improve in 2021, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Wilson surprised some folks since he’s mostly forgotten.
