FSU football coaches are and have been doing an outstanding job in the recruiting department. I can’t log onto social media without seeing a player visiting and saying they’ll be back for sure.

It all began with the Midnight Madness event once the NCAA Dead Period came to an end after nearly 16 months.

The Mega Camp followed, and then the Big Man camp took place earlier this week. The coaching staff has gotten an unbelievable amount of players on campus in less than two weeks since the dead period ended.

Not to mention the class of current commits, who have been to campus for several days. Despite the positive vibes from the program, fans continue to find something to complain about when it comes to recruiting.

When is the last time FSU signed a composite five-star player? I can tell you it was the 2017 recruiting cycle. The Noles have two committed in the 2022 recruiting class and are in the mix for several more top 100 players.

Not to mention several more in the top 200. To put it mildly, FSU hasn’t been in the mix for these types of players in a couple of years.

Maybe it’s the jaded perspective from the past few years clouding their judgment? I understand recruiting is a results-oriented business, but right now, it’s all about the process.
