FSU football: Seven 2022 blue-chip players that could sign with Noles
By Kelvin Hunt
Marvin Jones Jr.
This recruitment is arguably the most important non-committed player for the Noles. We’re talking about the greatest linebacker in FSU history in Marvin Jones Sr.
Marvin Jones Sr. is in the FSU Hall of Fame and was an All-Pro NFL player, who was recently named a nominee for the College Football Hall of Fame.
Jones Jr. is being recruited by every major school, but it’ll likely come down to FSU, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma.
Those are the four schools that he’s scheduled official visits with, and FSU holds the final visit, as of now. Jones Jr. is considered the No. 51 player overall and No. 9 defensive end in the nation.
He would likely start as a freshman at FSU, and his father has been a vocal supporter of how Mike Norvell and staff are doing things in Tallahassee.
I’m sure Marvin Jones Sr. will allow his son to enjoy the recruiting process, but I have to believe as long as the Noles look better on the field, we’ll see Marvin Jones Jr. in garnet and gold. I pray for that at least!
