FSU football brought in a top 20 recruiting class under Willie Taggart in 2019. The class wasn’t horrible on paper, considering what the team looked like in the 2018 season.

The loss of four-star quarterback Sam Howell and four-star defensive back Nick Cross near the end of the recruiting cycle were devastating.

The addition of Jordan Travis through the transfer portal proved huge for the Noles in the 2020 season.

Three of the 21 players are no longer with the program.

However, over time, that class has failed to provide a lot of production considering the number of blue-chip players (9 of 21).

Many players haven’t produced anything of note, some failing to meet expectations, and others on the cusp of being major contributors.

Let’s look at five players from the 2019 class that need to shine in the 2021 season.
