FSU football had momentum on the recruiting trails despite the NCAA extending the dead period through May 31.

The Noles have added a couple of 2022 commitments in the past month and landed its second 2023 commitment Thursday afternoon with Gabriel Harris.

The blue-chip defensive end may not be the only addition to the class shortly as the Noles are trending for several players in the 2022-23 classes, according to 247 Sports Crystal Ball Predictions.

The following players have received predictions for the Noles in the past few days:

The defensive end and offensive line are positions of need the staff has worked tirelessly to address. It’s great to see they are continuing those efforts, so they never become such mismatches on the field again.

I know some FSU football fans felt Mike Norvell was failing in the recruiting department because they only paid attention to the number beside the ranking in the class. That’s shortsighted, and the Noles would not have this recruiting momentum or current commits if Mike Norvell and staff were not capable on the recruiting trails.

Not to mention, all of this momentum is after a 3-6 season and an entire year of not recruiting under normal circumstances. The other difference is these players are not regular players. It’s way too early for 2023 and even 2022 recruiting rankings to be accurate. However, I would bet at least 2-3 of these players will be among at least top 200 players in their class.

These are the types of players FSU football needs to help Mike Norvell bring the Noles back to prominence.

I know the Noles need to win and show progress on the field, and I believe that will be the case with a normal offseason. Things are about to get real spooky in Tallahassee ladies and gentlemen!
