FSU football coaches have been recruiting four-star wide receiver Destyn Hill(formerly Pazon) for the long-haul, and it finally paid off on National Signing Day.

The wide receiver position was one of the most important positions of need in the 2021 recruiting class, and Hill was the top target.

FSU football offered him on January 6, 2020, and got him on campus a couple of times before everything was shut down due to COVID-19.

He’s been an FSU football lean for quite some time with 100 percent of the crystal ball predictions on 247 Sports.

There was a time when other teams were working hard to gain his commitment, but in the end, it was the Noles and his relationship with area recruiter David Johnson that won out.

Hill announced his decision Wednesday to complete a hard-fought battle for the top-rated recruit in the 2021 class:

Hill is considered the No. 113 player overall, No. 19 wide receiver, and No. 5 player in Louisiana. He checks in at 6’0″ and 200 pounds with 21 offers from all of the major schools like FSU, Alabama, LSU, Florida, etc.

Ironically, his high school ranking is nearly identical to FSU great Rashad Greene, though Hill is a bit bigger and faster. However, Greene was probably more polished as a route runner coming out of high school.

Hill is the 17th commit in the 2021 class, which puts the Noles back in the top 25 at No. 21. The Noles now have the No. 4 class in the ACC behind Clemson, North Carolina, and Miami.  This commitment is the seventh blue-chip player and fourth wide receiver.

Hill projects to be the No. 1 receiver in the class, but not being an early enrollee means fans should probably lower expectations in his first year.

The Noles could add another player from the transfer portal at some point, but this commitment basically completes the 2021 recruiting class.
