Demorie Tate

The 2020 blue-chip defensive back wasn’t able to see the field in his first season due to an academic redshirt.

The highest-rated recruit of Coach Mike Norvell’s first recruiting class was limited to the scout team.

Although he couldn’t participate in games, Tate enrolling allowed him to develop and get reps at practice, which will be invaluable going into the 2021 season.

He has good size and length 6’1″ and 190 lbs, and will be a prime candidate at the boundary cornerback position.

We saw this same situation with Travis Jay, who came along in the latter part of the season after battling an injury.

I could see Tate having similar or better success, and Mike Norvell has already mentioned him in a recent interview as someone putting in a lot of work.
