FSU football: 5 defensive players from 2020 class poised for breakout

In a similar keeping with most of the offensive list, he was a later enrollee and missed spring football, which was telling because he didn’t see the field in the first two games.
He mainly filled in for Stephen Dix Jr. or Emmett Rice and put in reps when he was in the game.
Sometimes, he took bad angles. Other times, he lacked discipline, which is expected from a freshman.
I think the biggest area of improvement he needs to address is the missed tackles. There were a few times during the season he was in the position to make a play and completely whiffed on a tackle.
Lundy is a bruiser, a linebacker that can attack downhill without expecting too much in coverage.
This attribute is where moving into a 4-2-5 defense could allow him to do just that with Lovett and Cooper opening holes for him to shoot the gaps to cause havoc.
The coaches seem high on Lundy, so it’ll be interesting to see what the narrative is coming out of spring camp.
