FSU football: Impact of several 2021 signees enrolling early
By Kelvin Hunt
Final Thoughts
The FSU coaching staff have had a lot of roster turnover over the past few months. Some of it by design and some of it was by natural attrition as players realized they were not going to get playing time.
Overall, I think the program will be better for it as the majority of the roster will be players that were recruited by Norvell, or have decided to buy-in to the vision.
I wrote about the Jordan Travis effect once he was named the starter in the 2020 season. There was a clear distinction with players giving better effort on both sides of the ball once it was clear he could put points on the board offensively.
All of these players enrolling is big-time for the program.
However, I can’t overstate what it means to have a leader like McKenzie Milton enrolling this spring. He brings experience, the production that demands respect, and a work ethic that will force player accountability.
He’s the type of player that can help the coaches instill the mentality they want in the program.
Off-season conditioning will begin soon, and hopefully, we’ll get a full offseason for the players to work and learn what the coaches are implementing. The countdown to the season opener has begun!
