FSU football will look to have most of its 2021 recruiting class to sign early.

FSU football enters the Early Signing Period with 15 commitments in its 2021 recruiting class that are ranked No. 34 nationally. Mike Norvell and the staff did a great job last year, with getting all but one of their current commits to sign early.

The 2021 recruiting cycle looks no different with all of the current commits expected to sign early except for three-star offensive tackle Kimo Makaneole.

The Noles have already signed UCF graduate transfer quarterback McKenzie Milton, and he’s expected to arrive in Tallahassee to enroll in January.

FSU football will look to add about 10 commits/signees between high school players and the transfer portal.

They are in the mix for several blue-chip players, with some that could sign Wednesday, with others deciding to wait until National Signing Day in February.

If you don’t see a lot of high school players signing between now and February, it’s because the staff doesn’t want to take players to fill a number in the class.

In those cases, they’ll look to the transfer portal for players that are more developed physically, and can see the field in 2021.

They still need to fill needs at running back, offensive line, defensive line, linebacker, and wide receiver.

Here’s a list of the current commits, and I’ll note when they sign in real-time:

  1. Hunter Washington: 4-star DB (Signed)
  2. Shambre Jackson: 4-star DL (Signed)
  3. Omarion Cooper: 4-star DB (Signed)
  4. Rod Orr: 4-star OL (Signed)
