FSU football could needed a spark.

FSU football and its fans have been in disarray for the last three years. The football team is 20-26 over that time frame with three different head coaches.

Some fans would take Jimbo Fisher back in a heartbeat, others believe Willie Taggart(how I’m not sure) could have righted the ship somehow.

Some are fans of both and seemingly want to see Mike Norvell fail because of it. However, all of those notions have disappeared on social media since Saturday morning.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney accused the Noles of making excuses to avoid a football game where his negligence could have gotten several FSU players infected with COVID-19. He tried to insinuate FSU was scared to play the game.

It’s almost like FSU football fans are social media are a big family with different factions like families in real life. However, as you know, in real life no outsider can come around and talk about anybody from the family, no matter what.

If so, the family is going to rally around that family member and defend them to the death. That’s what the last couple of days have felt like.

My timeline has been flooded with FSU football fans calling out every Clemson fan lying about the situation. Heck, I know I did my part. I probably tweeted more in the past three days than I had in the last three weeks.

FSU very well may have lost the game if it were played Saturday, but there’s no question FSU fans obliterated Clemson fans on social media. It felt like the days of FSU being elite and walking with their chest out with a us against the world mentality.

I do hope that fire and passion continues to burn, but FSU needs that energy towards becoming a booster instead of talking and tweeting.
