After a significant 31-28 win for FSU Football against the No.5 Tarheels, we look back at the Top 5 performers from Saturday night.

The Seminoles kicked the ball off at 7:49 p.m. eastern time, again on ABC. Every ‘Noles fan-braced for another prime time spanking to No. 5 North Carolina.

However, promptly at 7:49 p.m. ET, the Noles showed up in all three phases of the matchup. They blocked punts, forced stops on defense and got out to an early lead, and piled on quickly.

After a 7-0 first quarter for FSU, the Seminoles took over in the second quarter. They started the run with a field goal keyed by a 46-yard catch from Preston Daniel on a drive that started inside the FSU 10-yard line.

The defense got a stop, and the offense responded and got a touchdown via a Jordan Travis QB sneak. FSU then got a pick-six via Joshua Kaindoh and didn’t allow a UNC touchdown until 1:02 left in the half. Then Travis led a beautiful one minute drive to get a touchdown right before half-time.

The 31-7 lead would withstand a strong comeback bid from the Tarheels, who scored three touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters and had a possible game-winning drive stopped on 4th-and-9 on the Seminole 41-yard line.

This summary mainly serves to contextualize my Top 5 Seminole Standouts as you’ll quickly see a theme.
