Defense Hold Yellow Jackets Below 17 points

It felt like Miami could have scored every possession if they wanted too, and why it’s sad I have to set the point total to high to feel realistic about things.

After all, we see Georgia Tech’s not very good, and they could have scored 30 points against the Noles easily, if not for turnovers and blocked field goals.

If they hold them to say 10 points going into the fourth quarter and they score 10 points against the FSU reserves, I’d count that as a win.

However, the FSU defense is allowing just over six yards per play. I’d typically think they’d be able to hold Jacksonville State to under four yards per play, but that’s likely wishful thinking right now.

I need to see the defensive line blow their offensive line off the ball with linebackers filling the right gaps without hesitation.

I need to see a pass rush, and I need to see Adam Fuller call a defense that isn’t passive in coverage. He needs to throw the 7-8 yard cushions away on third and short, and let those blue-chip defensive backs play.
