Lots of Young Players Making Noise

It’s no surprise some young players have surpassed some older players on the team.

It was expected with how Mike Norvell has preached the players that practice the best will play. Here is a list of true freshmen or redshirt freshman who are either starting or listed as backups:

  • Tate Rodemaker (QB backup)
  • Darius Washington (Starting left tackle)
  • Thomas Shrader (left guard backup)
  • Maurice Smith (Starting center)
  • Robert Scott (right tackle backup)
  • Kentron Poitier ( WR backup)
  • Quashon Fuller (defensive end backup)
  • Josh Griffis (defensive end backup)
  • Stephen Dix Jr. (MIKE LB backup)
  • DJ Lundy (WILL LB backup)
  • Jarvis Brownlee (cornerback backup)
  • Travis Jay (Free safety OR BUCK safety, Kickoff returner and Punt Returner)
  • Alex Mastromanno (Starting punter)
  • Ryan Fitzgerald( Starting kicker)

That’s a lot of young players that could be on the field at some point for the Noles Saturday.
