FSU football: Top five darkhorse players for 2020 season
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football has many talented players of which some have not seen any real action in their careers at this point. Some have seen limited action, but the 2020 season could be the time they emerge as contributors.
FSU football is looking to rebound off its third consecutive mediocre season. The 18-20 record over the past three years isn’t close to the standard, and new coach Mike Norvell is charged with bringing the Noles back to prominence.
There’s no doubt the Noles will still have one of the most talented teams in the conference, with several players projected to make All-ACC.
There’s a lot of returning talent on both sides of the ball, especially at quarterback, wide receiver, defensive line, linebacker, and in the secondary.
However, there will be times where players will have to elevate their games for this team to have a shot at returning to respectability.
Notice, I do not expect the Noles to beat Clemson or contend for the ACC title this year. I think their first legitimate chance to do that will be 2021 or 2022, as the Noles look to rebuild their roster for the schemes they want to run on both sides of the ball.
We want to profile the top five darkhorse players that could be impactful in 2020.
