FSU football found out who they were playing last week. The ACC will announce the days and times of the games Thursday morning.

FSU football looks like its getting closer and closer to the start of the Mike Norvell era. The ACC Conference unveiling the times and games for the schedule released last week is another step in a positive direction amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

We’ve discussed the opponents themselves, but the order of the games will play a factor in determining how successful the Noles are in 2020.

If you’re interested in watching the announcement live, the information was announced by the ACC Wednesday via their Twitter account:

We’ll have reactions from the announcement once we know the full schedule. One site is reporting Samford will be the one non-conference game on the schedule. I wrote how I wished it would be either South Florida, Central Florida, or FAMU.

Samford was on the original schedule and is about as close to a sure win as one could hope for.

My only hope is they are the first game on the schedule as that would be a great way to work out some kinks since the team has missed a lot of practice time between the spring and summer months.

I’ve talked about the importance of changing the perception of the product on the field.

A win in the first game, especially if it’s dominant, would give the team some much-needed confidence heading into its 10-game conference schedule.

It’s also something the staff could point to compared to the previous years when FSU struggled with Samford in 2018 and Louisiana-Monroe in 2019.

Here’s to hoping the schedule is fairly even and avoids a murderer’s row similar to what they had in 2018. Would you want the Clemson game in the first half or the back half of the schedule?
